The match was held the weekend of October 8th 9th and 10th, 2005.  A total nine SBRGC members participated in the three day event and many members received awards for their efforts.  The match consisted of day one firing the rifle cartridge lever gun such as the 30-30 and the 38-55 as well as other centerfire calibers.  The targets are placed at 50,100,150 and 200 yards.  All shots are fired off hand with a total of 40 shots per match.  There were two matches per day at the event.  Day two was the pistol cartridge lever guns day with the targets at 40,50,75 and 100 yards.  Day three was the rimfire cowboy rifle matches with the targets at the same distances as the pistol cartridge rifle matches.

In this day of shooting Dave Fellingham was the match winner in both matches and first overall.  Bill Glathe was 1st and 2nd in the two matches 1st overall in AAA Class. Mike Roche was 3rd in first match and 1st in the 2nd match and 2nd overall in the days matches.  He was also high senior for the day.  Ryan King was 2nd and 1st in his class and 1st overall.  Ed Chessman was 3rd and 2nd in the two matches as well as 2nd overall in his class.  Judi Brown was the high woman for the days shooting.  Jose Espinoza was 2nd in his class in the 2nd match and 3rd overall for the day in his class.

Bill Glathe was match winner in both matches and 1st overall.  Dave Fellingham was 1st in master class in match one and 2nd in master class in match two and 2nd overall in the master class. Ryan King was 3rd in his class in match one and 3rd overall in his class.  Bob McCurdy was 3rd in his class in match one and 3rd overall in his class.  Judi Brown  was 3rd in her class in match two as well as 3rd overall in the her class as well as being the high women for the day.

Ryan King was 1st in match one and 3rd overall for the day. Dave Fellingham was 2nd in both matches for the day and 2nd overall.  Bill Glathe was 3rd and 1st for the two matches 1st overall.  Jose Espinoza was 1st in match one in his class and 3rd overall for the day. Bob McCurdy was 2nd in the 2nd match and 2nd overall for his class Judi Brown was 3rd in both of the matches and finished 4th overall for the day and again was the high women for the day.  

The final prizes were awarded for the three day match and two of the prizes went to SBRGC members they being Bill Glathe as the Silver medal Winner and Dave Fellingham as the Bronze medal winner.  Dave Fellingham also was awarded the Iron Man award for being the top total scorer for the three day match.  It is the  2nd time he has won the award at the NCSA State and Regional Match.

The matches were well run and of course the most important theme was they were run safely. 

If you would like to participate in these type of matches we have them at SBRGC each and every month.  The first Sunday of the month the Cowboy Lever Gun match is held and the 3rd Saturday of the month the pistol cartridge and cowboy rimfire matches are held.
